Retro Portland
In our ever-present quest for inspiration behind new designs and styles for our upcoming Oddball apparel line and shoe line, we stumbled across a great blog that shows images of Portland, Oregon, hometown of Oddball.com. Check the blog out here http://vintageportland.wordpress.com/

The image below is of 20th and Thurman in 1952, 2 blocks from what is current-day Oddball Shoes.

Vintage Portland's blog post follows:

Its still possible to stand on this spot at NW Thurman Street at 20th Avenue but youd be standing under four lanes of US30 as it rushes overhead. This view looks at the southwest corner. Walk three blocks west to 23rd and Thurman and look at the southeast corner; it has a very similar look even today.

Jared's ODDSOW (Oddball Shoe of the Week)
We've decided to start a new tradition here at Oddball.com's Oddblog:

JARED'S ODDBALL SHOE OF THE WEEK (#ODDSOW)

I know, I know, it's all incredibly exciting stuff - but we felt the need to highlight some great products that we carry here at Oddball.com that don't get as much attention as we feel they deserve. Or maybe to help someone find that special pair that puts them in their happy place, Happy Gilmore style, since we know how hard that is when you wear over size 13.

So, without further adieu, this week's #ODDSOW is the Callaway C-Tech Saddle in black/black reptile.

Oddball.com stocks this shoe from size 15 to size 18 and retails for 85. Soft waterproof leather, modern saddle styling, and that murdered-out all black keeps these shoes sharp and dry on the course. Callaway's name is synonymous with quality golf products, and you should expect nothing less with these. As golf season breaks into full swing (see what I did there), get your pair at http://www.oddball.com/pdetail/1016249 before they go fast. Tag #ODDSOW on your Instagram and Twitter posts and follow along with Oddball's Shoe of the Week.

SNL New Balance Commercial
Zach Galifinakis is back at it again with the cast of Saturday Night Live to create a parody commercial about New Balance shoes. Don't take this personal New Balance wearers, this is a stereotype, and just like every stereotype it is not 100% correct. Some people really do run in New Balance. Without further adieu:
