Oddball Shoe of the Week: Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi natural

A perennial classic popularized even further by Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang, this colorway is overlooked by many people - but it is one of the original colorways ever release by Mr. Taylor himself.

The natural is a great offset to a pair of crisp dark denim, but it's iconic status makes them a great choice for everything from a date night to a business meet-and-greet. It seems like nowadays everyone is going casual and wearing them to their wedding.

I think the reason these shoes are slept on is that people overlook their fine details. This All-American colorway is marked by red and blue foxing lines that run along the entire midsole, a pure white rubber cap toe, monochrome natural laces, a diamond-knurled toe strip, Converse branding on the inner ankles and heels, and a diamond-patterned outsole.

Besides being able to wear Chucks in almost any scenario, the nice thing about this natural color is it's versatility - it matches almost anything (besides white!) Send us pictures of you wearing your Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi in natural by tagging #ODDSOW on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook or mentioning us with @OddballDotCom.

Oddball Shoe of the Week: Supra Skytop black/purple/gold

The Supra Skytop is pro skater Chad Muska's signature model high top. This edition features an embossed black nubuck upper, a purple leather heel counter, gold eyelets, and purple-striped round boot laces. Just like every Skytop model, they also are fitted with a white vulcanized rubber outsole with black foxing, custom Supra and Muska detailing throughout, reinforced metal lace loop eyelets including 6 lace loop eyelets at the high top padded collar, SupraFoam injected into the full-length midsole for added impact support, internal neoprene toe cap and vamp for protection, elastic tongue straps, comfortable high memory polyurethane insole with extra heel protection for even more impact support, and a hidden stash pocket inside the tongue to hide your stash in.

The insoles provide comfort and padding from big drops and the vulcanized sole lends incredible board feel. A heel loop tab allow the Supra Skytop to be pulled on easily, rounding out the Skytop into technical skate shoes that are built on style, comfort, padding and skateability.

Oddball Shoe of the Week: Vans Atwood (textile) grey/gum

Sporting a tweed-like upper with cross-hatched grey and white stitching, a classic gum sole, and a black details, this Atwood combines form and function. Great for a pennyboard session on a sunny day or a night out with your friends, these casual kicks are always a great choice.

The Atwood is a more modern take on Vans Classics like the Authentic and Era. With only three separate pieces that form the entire upper, it's basically a Chukka in low top form. Simplicity is the name of the game, and lends itself to a nice pair of jeans but always looks good with shorts in the summer too! With the tweed upper, you might even have enough style to pull off a pair of khakis and a polo. That's the great thing about Vans, no matter what your personal style is - a fresh pair of Vans brings it down to a casual California level that says, "I'm cool enough to look nice, but relaxed enough that I'm wearing sneakers."

As always, find your favorite pair at Oddball.com in sizes 14-16 only for the everyday price of 60.
